Tofu Oat Miso Soup

Cozy up with a warm bowl of savory miso soup—and add Quaker Oats to make it extra thick and filling!

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups hot water
  • 1 tsp. dashi powder
  • 1 ½ Tbsps. miso paste
  • ½ (4oz.) silken tofu, diced into cubes
  • 2 stalks spring onion, sliced into 1 cm pieces
  • 10 Tbsps. Quaker Instant / Quick Cooking Oats
  • 1⁄4 tsp. salt

Procedure

1 In a medium pan over a medium-high flame, combine dashi powder with 1 cup of water and bring to a boil.
2 Add in miso paste, tofu and half the spring onions and cook over a medium high flame for about 1 minute.
3 In another pan, mix oats with 1 ½ cups of water and cook over a medium flame until the porridge thickens and is cooked. Add the miso soup to the oat mixture and stir gently.
4 Add the miso soup to the oat mixture and stir gently.
5 Dish out into four bowls, garnish with the remaining spring onions and serve immediately.
